Hayes Hurricanes, ECB Premier League, Ladies Cricket Club
Barnet Wood Road, Hayes, Kent, BR2 7AA
Women’s and girl’s cricket has come along way in the last 12 years, and no where more than at the Hurricanes. Last year was our first season in the Premier League, (2008) and we stayes there, were Kent Junior League runners up, and also have been presented with development awards. Our 2nd X1 is now florashing, and always keen for new players.
This year 2009 HAS BEEN A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THE CLUB, our 1st X1 won the Premier League South Division, and went on to win the ECB National Premier League in only our second year of Premier League status.
Our 2nd X1 have also had an outstanding year, winning the WCSL Division 3 league. This means they would have won promotion in two consecutive years.
The club can proudly boast to producing Full England Squad member Lydia Greenway, as well as several of the County 1st X1. We attract International players, and have been the mainstay of County Youth squads for over 12 years. We actively encourage our youth to take part in competitive games, that are fun and challenging.
It’s not all about winning though, having fun, learning new skills and more importantly making some great friends is what the Hurricanes are really about. We can honestly say we are 100% supported by the main club, and not just an add on.
